Titles in cream to the upper cover, spine titles aged. Previous owner's bookplate to inside cover, two neat round stamps on copyright page, otherwise clean and bright throughout, hinges starting only. Frontispiece and four color illustrations by W. T. Smedley. Overall a very nice copy of a most uncommon Twain original. Illustrated tale of a dog, told in the first "person" - "My father was a St. Bernard, my mother was a collie, but I am a Presbyterian." 36 pages.
