Horace Liveright, 1929. FIRST EDITION, first printing. Very good condition, bluish-green cloth stamped in gilt to spine with blind-tooled publishers device, upper cover gilt with facsimile of O’Neill’s signature and stamped with wave border, a design which is reflected by the decorative endpapers. Rare original dust jacket, not price clipped, slight aging to spine, 1/2" chip at head of spine, few short edge tears housed in protective plastic cover. The published play includes O'Neill's revisions as well as several scenes which were omitted from the original theater production. Dynamo displays a deep interest in the problems of Religion in the Modern World and is considered by many to be one of O’Neills better efforts. One of the more scarce original O’Neill plays and with original dust jacket even more difficult to find. A great collectible. 159 pages.
