I was in the far South at the time and could not advise metaphysical treatment. But I conceived a plan to let Pearl be the medium for the Truth, so for a number of mornings in succession sent the sister a letter couched in dialect and impersonal. The sister recovered, and on my return to the North, I was asked to publish what had helped so wonderfully in a time of great stress.
