The Salvador Dali Museum, St. Petersburg, Florida, 1986. FIRST EDITION, limited numbered edition 94 of 500 copies. Very scarce good condition hardcover, gray cloth with gilt titles, tape reinforced endpages,.ex-library with only signs of being such name on page edge and sliught ghost of tape which had apparently held dj on in past. Few preliminary pages loose, otherwise tight amd clean. This is a very scarce and rarely found Dali edition, of which this is numbered as “94/500” copies ever privately published. Translated from the French by Eleanor R. Morse, with introduction by A. Reynolds Morse, editor. Many, many black and white photographs and illustrations throughout the book, nearly on every page. The Tragic Myth is a vital source book of information relating to Dali's creative processes as told by him in his own involved and proustian style. Needless to say a must have for any true fan of surrealism, art and Dali himself. Would make a special gift as well.. 227 pages.
