This 128-page softcover with poster weight gloss full color covers is perfect bound and illustrated by cartoons. Documentation along with the script for the Hubley's animated version of the comic strip. John Hubley, Garry Trudeau's former teacher, died prior to the completion of the film this book is based on. Faith Hubley, his partner and widow, writes in her preface that after the shock wore off, the staff and she and Garry perservered to complete the special. The notations surrounding the drawings on the first right hand page, the double page spread [half-title] and the back cover are reproductions of the story board and cartoonist marks indicating color choices and frame order.
