Previous owners stamp inside, otherwise no marks except an erasure. The leather is worn and scuffed on all edges with a 1/4 inch chip missing from the head and foot of the binding. Top edge gold gilt is dull but the title and squirrel design on the spine is bright. 1/2 inch light stain on lower right corner throughout book. No dog-eared or missing pages.Chapters are: A Yankee in Canada, Natural History of Massachusetts, A Walk to Wachusett, The Landlord, A Winter Walk, The Succession of Forest Trees, Walking, Autumnal Tints, Wild Apples, Night and Moonlight, May Days and Days and Nights in Concord. Overall very nice collectible copy. 472 pages.
