Beautiful jacket painting by Robert Camp, Jr. Drawings inside, on endpapers and at each chapter heading , by famous American illustrator Edward Shenton. Rawlings at her lyrical best. Made into a suprisingly good film. A great read. The story of Cross Creek, of the 'Yearling Country; its people, scenery and wildlife. B&w illustrations.
