Good condition, light green covers with decoration, edge wear., pages remarkably clean and white throughout, two former owner inscriptions – one dated 1917 other 1927, back cover some staining and former owner stamp on page end. Title page states “Illustrations by Frances Rogers” but frontispiece seems to be only one! “Stratton-Porter was an American feminist, environmentalist, photographer and one of Indiana's most famous female authors. Many of her writings were moralistic and romantic novels. Michael O'Halloran begins: Aw kid, come on! Be square! You look out what you say to me.
