The Franklin Philatelic Society, 1976. FIRST DAY ISSUE. Full blue padded leatherette binder (13" long x 9.75" high x 4" thick) with silver lettering and pictorial stamping, one corner minimal bump. All covers and information sheets near mint condition, inside front cover and title page light stain. This collection includes 86 "First Day Covers," each bearing the official "First Day of Issue" cancellation from the 86 different countries who issued the stamps and each affixed to The Franklin envelope with printed cachet at left. Eighty one (81) of the First Day Covers are tipped to a heavy stock sheet (5 covers are not tipped to sheet, but laid in) which gives the history of the country, its relationship with the U.S., a map showing the country and a description of the stamp. Truly a fantastic gift item or addition to any collection. 176 pages.
