Amazing engravings, 192 plates including some in color. Currier and Ives were businessmen and craftsmen, reflecting in their collection of prints, American life and attitudes from 1835-1907. This Special Edition is set in 12 pt. caslon monotype with hand-drawn decorative initials. The design and typography is by A.P. Tedesco. The prints in this book are taken from the collection of Harry T. Peters, the foremost collector of Currier & Ives in the world. They are reproduced here with exceptional care and fidelity, and many of these prints have been only available to collectors. Increasingly scarce edition.
